Contacts and Companies are mostly invisible in normal day-to-day usage — Prospects (origination) and Buyers (deals) are the units you'll interact with directly.

Companies are auto-created and auto-linked from email domains when you add a contact, prospect, or buyer.

HubSpot is the source of truth — local edits propagate via the queued push job, and incoming HubSpot webhooks overwrite local rows.
